Quality Assurance Manager

Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting various operational teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality management, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

What's the Job?

• Manage the daily operations of the quality assurance department, including production scheduling, employee supervision, and policy administration.
• Oversee sanitation and food safety programs, ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Maintenance, Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Finance to maintain high-quality standards.
• Lead and manage audits including customer, third-party, FDA, USDA, Organic, and SQF, ensuring all corrective actions are addressed promptly.
• Review and analyze food safety and quality reports, perform root cause analysis on consumer complaints, and manage product recalls effectively.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience in food quality management.
• 5-8 years of experience in QA/Food manufacturing, with proven leadership in managing direct reports.
• Technical knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, SQF, and PCQI certifications.
• Strong understanding of microbiology, formulation, and statistical problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
