Multimodality Radiologic Tech

The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in community health and medical innovation based in Burlington, VT, is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech specialized in Osteoporosis to join our team of healthcare professionals. This position entails providing high-quality imaging services, primarily focusing on bone density scans and related diagnostic procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and other bone-related conditions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating radiographic equipment, maintaining patient safety, and contributing to our mission of enhancing the health standards of our community through cutting-edge medical care. Operate and maintain radiology imaging equipment, primarily DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) machines. Conduct bone density tests and other radiographic examinations as requested by medical staff. Interpret data and assist physicians in diagnosing bone health issues. Ensure the safety and comfort of all patients during procedures. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality guidelines. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with radiology practices and technologies. Proficiency in DEXA technology and other radiographic imaging equipment. Strong understanding of radiology safety and protocols. Excellent patient handling skills and empathetic communication. Ability to interpret radiologic data and collaborate with medical teams. Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
