Civil Engineer

Newport, United States | Posted on 04/16/2026 Seeking a Civil Engineer to support a range of land development and infrastructure projects from design through permitting and construction. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Prepare civil site design plans for residential, commercial, and municipal projects Develop grading, drainage, utility, and roadway designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, storm‑water management, and erosion control plans Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies on design and permitting Support project documentation, cost estimates, and construction administration tasks Contribute to quality assurance and adherence to design standards and local codes Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field Min 5 years of experience in civil/site design and permitting Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (HydroCAD experience a plus) Familiarity with storm‑water, grading, and utility design standards Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Design Hire is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affimative Action employer.
