Our solutions improve the techniques and outcomes of surgery so patients can resume their lives as quickly as possible.As a Maintenance Technician you will performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Responsible for preventive maintenance, mechanical checks, construction, installation, moving, repairing and maintenance of all electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment and/or systems within the facility and/or assigned Value Stream(s). Perform industrial machine repair/service using knowledge of any or all of the following: electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, spindles, ball screws, bearings, servo controls, and/or machine controllers. Performs all duties in compliance with all OSHA regulations and completes all required training.Essential Functions:Assists in moving, setup and leveling machinesPerforms equipment preventative maintenance dailyEnsures machines are lubricated and operational, may include installing guards as necessaryTroubleshoots mechanical/electrical malfunctions/breakdowns; supports activity to repair, may include coordinating/working with outside vendorsUtilizes maintenance equipment (including but not limited to: saws, grinders, CNC mills and lathes, etc) to perform machining duties as neededCommunicates with and utilize outside services and support as necessary to troubleshoot problems, provide project and maintenance assistance and offer technical resourcesPerforms a wide range of general building and equipment maintenance, such as plumbing, general electrical, carpentry, sheet metal and fabrication design, and sheet metal repair workCreates and coordinates change orders (CO's) in support of the preventative maintenance and calibration system; including follow up and trackingAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third partiesPerforms other duties as assignedReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Qualifications:Ability to use maintenance equipment (including but not limited to saws, grinders, CNC mills, and lathes, hand / power tools, etc) to perform machining duties as neededAbility to troubleshoot and determine root cause of failuresGeneral knowledge of predicative and preventative maintenance processesTypically requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experienceRequires High School diploma or equivalentRequires general working knowledge of industrial electronics and controls including but not limited to relay logic and controls, automation interlocking, machine control circuits, sensors, switches, timers, wiring and ladder diagrams, sequencers, variable speed motor drives, servo controls, etc.Ability to operate and obtain a forklift driver's licensePhysical Demands:The physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsRequired to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focusOur Values:Our Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.Passionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
