Sr. Java DeveloperLocation: Seattle, WADuration: 6 months +Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain high quality code base, consistently delivering challenging, stable and maintainable projects on scheduleKeep documentation up to dateResearch, architect, plan and test, the integration of system upgrades and the introduction of new technologies to existing platformsStay current with new technologies, and industry best practices; particularly those dealing with Java frameworks, Design Patterns and NoSQL storage systemsResearch and develop solutions to meet enterprise wide needsRequired QualificationsStrong written and verbal communication skills8+ years of strong, hands-on Java, J2EE development skillsStrong experience developing RESTful Web ServicesWorking knowledge of Unix, preferably LinuxStrong experience with object oriented design and design patternsNice to HaveExperience with SQL and relational database design, Oracle or MySQLExperience with building large scale, distributed, highly scalable enterprise server systemsExperience with Tomcat, Tribestream and TomitribeExperience with Docker
