Role Description This per-diem, on-site Mammography Technologist role is based in Newburyport, MA. The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality mammographic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, positioning patients, operating mammography equipment, and ensuring accurate image acquisition and documentation. The role involves collaborating with radiologists and clinical teams, maintaining equipment and exam rooms, monitoring radiation safety practices, and supporting quality assurance and compliance initiatives. The Mammography Technologist contributes to a positive patient experience by providing compassionate care, maintaining confidentiality, and promoting a safe, respectful environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and, ideally, mammography-specific credentials. Candidates should possess skills in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, with experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures and working in a clinical setting. Candidates should possess knowledge of Radiation Safety practices, including proper use of protective equipment and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Medicine as it relates to breast imaging, anatomy, and pathology relevant to mammography. Additional beneficial qualifications include a valid state radiologic technologist license, prior mammography experience in a hospital or outpatient setting, familiarity with PACS and electronic health records, attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Anna Jaques Hospital
