MBOS is seeking an experienced Hospital Biller to join our revenue cycle team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital billing, with hands‑on experience submitting and following up on claims for Illinois Medicare and Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit hospital claims accurately and timely. Bill and follow up on claims for Illinois Medicare and Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers. Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, or underpaid claims. Work accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and reimbursement. Verify billing accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines and government regulations. Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues. Collaborate with clinical, registration, and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities and account follow‑up. Stay current on payer regulations, coding updates, and reimbursement policies. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of hospital billing experience required. Proven experience billing Illinois Medicare and Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans. Strong knowledge of hospital billing workflows, claims processing, and reimbursement practices. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software including Cerner, MEDHOST, SSI Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications are a plus.
