CDL A Driver

As a Class A CDL Driver with Colony Hardware, you will be the face of the company as you ensure that company product is delivered safely and efficiently to customers to keep their projects on schedule. You provide exceptional customer service while communicating with other associates at the branch through your deliveries each day, while also supporting as needed with future orders.

Schedule: 6am-4pm, Monday through Friday (hours may occasionally vary)

A Little About Your Day; You Will:

• Safely operate company vehicles at all times (primarily a 26' flatbed straight trucks with 3-4' straps for securing product), abiding by all company driving policies.
• Pick up and deliver merchandise in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
• Load the branch vehicles with packed orders, sorting and organizing the merchandise so that it can be easily located.
• Assist in warehouse responsibilities such as picking/packing, organizing, loading/unloading, inventory counts, and other tasks as needed.
• Perform any needed pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure your safety.
• Check in frequently with the customer to announce arrival, collect payments from customers, and ensure all signatures are received.

What You'll Need for Success:

• You must be 21 years of age or older
• An active and valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a sustained record of safe driving
• A minimum of 3+ years of prior driving experience and deliveries with vehicles such as flatbed straight trucks, tractor trailers, etc.
• Prior forklift experience for loading/unloading company vehicles
• Ability to use GeoTabs ELD (electronic log device)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Basic computer skills
