Fund Accountant

A well-established and growing investment firm in Downtown Dallas is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its finance team. Benefits 401(k) matching Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance Job Title: Fund Accountant Location: Downtown Dallas, TX (On-site) Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $75,000-$90,000 Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds. Maintain general ledger activity and perform account reconciliations. Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Calculate and process capital calls, investor distributions, and partner allocations. Assist with Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. Prepare supporting schedules for tax reporting and year-end financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Analyze financial results and prepare management reports. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 3+ years of accounting experience. Previous fund accounting, private equity, investment management, real estate investment, or alternative investment experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with accounting or fund management software is a plus. CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
