Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Float Location: Lansing, MI 48912 Assignment Duration: 13-week contract position. Schedule: Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) Job Description We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to float between the Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby, and OB Special Care units. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, exhibiting excellent clinical judgment and teamwork. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for patients in Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby, and OB Special Care. Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care in the electronic medical record (EMR). Support and educate families about postpartum care and newborn care. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in floating between units as needed, following patient census demands. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license in Michigan by start date. 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery and/or Mother Baby care. BLS, AWHONN (Advanced or Intermediate), and NRP certifications required. Experience with EPIC charting and antepartum care is essential. Experience in facilities with 100-200 births per month is preferred. Must be willing to work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule.
