Assistant Controller

Randstad has partnered with a prominent regional non-profit organization headquartered at their executive administrative office in Lexington, KY to recruit an independent, proactive Assistant Controller. This position is responsible for overseeing essential financial functions, ensuring reporting integrity, and assisting with high-level budgeting and audits.  This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package. 

salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & GL: Prepare journal entries, general ledger accounts, and detailed financial statements with high accuracy.

• Variance Analysis: Analyze financial performance and present clear, actionable explanations for budget-to-actual variances.

• Reconciliations: Manage complex reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and multi-entity account balancing.

• Audit & Budgeting: Collaborate directly with the Finance Officer on annual budget development, year-end financial audit preparations, and special accounting projects.

• Presentations & Travel: Occasionally travel regionally across organizational locations and comfortably present financial data and reports to board members, committees, or leadership groups.
