Position Overview

This position requires a dedicated nursing professional with a strong background in chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Candidates must have significant supervisory experience and be prepared to oversee clinical operations while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for the financial performance of assigned departments, including setting budgets and enhancing cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate nursing service orientation for new staff, mentoring their skill development and performance evaluation.
• Make patient care assignments based on individual care requirements and staff qualifications.
• Review staffing standards and recommend necessary changes based on patient classification and staff utilization studies.
• Revise, implement, and administer nursing services policies, procedures, and standards within the clinical area.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to arrange patient care conferences.
• Facilitate quality improvement activities to monitor compliance with patient care standards and identify improvement areas.
• Manage and lead assigned departments and staff while assisting in their training and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and demonstrate accountability for nursing service activities.
• Participate in department meetings and set annual departmental goals.
• Oversee supply and equipment orders, identifying departmental needs for personnel, training, and supplies.
• Provide guidance and leadership within the organization, addressing employee concerns and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
• A valid and current, full, and unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience, with at least 2 years as a staff RN in chemotherapy/immunotherapy.
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
• Certifications in ACLS, PALS, and NRP are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Proficient in nursing care principles and practices, clinical procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong skills in computer systems including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, alongside robust decision-making and critical thinking skills.
• Capacity to maintain composure in high-stress situations and address performance or quality care issues promptly.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.

Additional Information

Applicants must be located at least 100 miles away from the facility they will be working at. Housing and travel arrangements will not be provided for travelers.
