Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be fully remote, enabling you to work from your own home while remaining tightly connected to our practice through regular video meetings and communication platforms. Our practice operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as necessary to accommodate the varied schedules of our patients. Flexibility in your schedule is essential for optimizing patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough mental health assessments to evaluate client psychological well-being, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews.
  • \n
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, drawing from a variety of established therapeutic modalities that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • \n
  • Providing evidence-based therapy sessions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.

  • Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to support clients' emotional journeys, foster personal growth, and enhance coping strategies.

  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care.

  • Assisting in crisis intervention and offering timely support during mental health emergencies.
  • \n
  • Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and local community resources.

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Participating actively in team meetings and case discussions to share insights and enhance the quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse client population ranging from children to adults, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. You will be working with individuals who are often navigating challenging situations and emotional distress, focusing on therapeutic approaches that empower them to thrive. Your expertise will be vital in helping clients reclaim their well-being through structured support and guidance.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A current and valid license as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LP, LMFT, or LCMFT in the State of Maryland.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • \n
  • Exceptional assessment and diagnostic skills, with a proven ability to develop effective treatment plans.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering high-quality individual and group therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong backgrounds in specific therapeutic approaches or specialized training in trauma-informed care will be given additional consideration. Experience in electronic health record (EHR) systems is also highly valued as it enhances workflow efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our competitive salary range for this position is between USD 75,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
