Final Assembly Operator

Job DescriptionEssential Duties Include:Inspect products to verify conformance to customer specifications.Complete Progress report – identify the job and the starting timeReview the Work Order for special instructionsAssure the set-up is correct for the jobAssure the station layout, tags and labels are appropriate for the jobComplete Sign-Off check list and have it signed by the appropriate personInspect parts – assure patents and margins are correct with no blotchesPerform hand manipulation when required – peeling waste off the partRework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.Set and verify parts clearances.Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as punch box or templates.Cut trim parts for assembly.Examine completed workpieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces.Set up, operate, or tend machines to slit or punch material.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High School DiplomaManufacturing experience is preferred.Physical Demands:This position involves sitting for long periods of time.Lifting capability of up to 25-50 lbs.Constant upper body movement, including use of arms and hands, bending and twisting.LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMERThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
