Table Games Dealer

Caesars So. Indiana will be offering Blackjack Dealer Training classes beginning September 29- November 6th. Classes will be held Tuesday through Friday for 6 weeks and each session is 4-hours in duration. Accepted Dealer Trainees will receive paid training at $15 per hour. Successful graduates will have an opportunity to earn a more considerable gratuity-based income. Class times are to be determined. Roster positions are limited. JOB SUMMARY: The Dealer will create and maintain a fun, entertaining, party atmosphere for extended periods of time while dealing various table games KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Conduct assigned game(s) according to established procedures Greet each guest with a bright, genuine smile and enthusiastic verbal greeting Control pace of the game and inform the Table Games Floor Supervisor/Table Games Back Up Shift Manager of any request or unusual play Generate fun and excitement at all times Exchange cash for gaming chips according to established procedures Responsible for game protection and game control. Know and abide by IGC Regulations and company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent.Proof of experience as a dealer with a licensed casino or completion of an approved training course in card games QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business WORK ENVIRONMENT Must be able to work independently. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours). Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines. Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator. Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs. Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
