Registered Nurse - Radiology

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse in the Radiology Department provides safe and quality patient care through the application of nursing principles, research, and evidence-based practices. This role involves working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a positive care experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs, applying critical thinking and nursing standards to develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver patient-centered care by incorporating relationship-centered care models and evidence-based interventions.
• Educate patients and families about their treatment, transition of care, and health promotion strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and safety initiatives.
• Perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, patient monitoring, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
• Support quality improvement efforts by participating in safety protocols and report safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably including ambulatory and radiation safety.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• EPIC experience highly desired.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a focus on safety and patient satisfaction.
