About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a hospital-based healthcare organization seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 13-week locum tenens assignment in New York City.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CRNA seeking flexible weekday scheduling, consistent coverage, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team model.

The ideal provider will have strong general anesthesia experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to provide safe, efficient anesthesia care in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Position Summary

The CRNA will provide anesthesia services within a hospital-based practice, supporting a variety of general anesthesia cases and out-of-operating-room procedures.

The assignment offers flexible scheduling options, no call requirements, and the potential for an extension following the initial 13-week commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for assigned patients.
• Complete pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans.
• Administer anesthesia for diagnostic and procedural cases.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and the anesthesia care team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR.
• Follow all clinical, safety, and compliance standards.
• Provide coverage at affiliated hospital locations within the same health system as needed.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Assignment begins 11/01/26 .
• 13-week locum tenens assignment with potential extension.
• Monday–Friday scheduling.
• Flexible scheduling options:
  • 3x12-hour shifts per week
  • 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Available shift times include:
  • 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 30-minute meal break deduction per shift.
• Minimum commitment of 6–7 shifts per month .
• Must be available to work either Monday or Friday each week.
• Must be flexible to provide coverage at affiliated hospital locations within the same health system.
• No call requirements.
• Epic EMR.

Case Mix

Providers will support a variety of general anesthesia cases, including:

• Endoscopy procedures
• Out-of-operating-room anesthesia (OR) locations
• General cases

Cases do not include:

• Cardiac
• Thoracic/lung
• Liver
• OB

Spinal and epidural procedures may be performed. Anesthesia support is available for providers who do not routinely perform these procedures.

Qualifications

• Active New York State CRNA license.
• Board Certified CRNA.
• Active DEA.
• Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience.
• Strong general anesthesia experience.
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Clean professional background required.
• Flu and COVID vaccination required.
• Current CV required in company format, including month/year dates and explanations for any employment gaps.
