A CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality radiologic, CT, and MRI procedures to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging. This role requires professional patient care with a focus on safety, precision, and adherence to protocols in a fast-paced clinical setting. Responsibilities:
- Operate radiologic, CT, and MRI equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, following physician and radiologist protocols.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure according to ALARA principles.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary patient documentation, including consent forms, history, and reaction sheets.
- Ensure patient safety by screening with MRI safety questionnaires and using proper shielding techniques.
- Transport patients to and from departments, assisting them onto exam tables and ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Maintain sterile techniques and cleanliness standards to prevent cross-contamination across all clinical environments.
- Current ARRT registration (R)(CT) or equivalent, with valid CT certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of CT imaging experience in a clinical setting.
- Graduation from an accredited ARRT-approved program.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic, CT, and MRI safety and protocols.
- Ability to accurately position patients and operate complex imaging equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and documentation.
