Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Summary:
This position is for a travel ICU Registered Nurse responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients in a busy hospital setting. The RN will perform advanced procedures and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and utilize hemodynamic monitoring equipment to assess patient status.
• Perform advanced procedures such as central line insertions and dialysis catheter placements.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech system and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, certifications, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years ICU experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to handle high-acuity patients.
• Ability to perform procedures such as central line insertions and dialysis catheter placements.
• Flexibility to work 36-hour weekly shifts, including day and night rotations.
• Proficient in using GE monitors, Impella, IABP, and other ICU equipment.
