Floor Technician page is loaded## Floor Technicianlocations: Morrisville, NCtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR104284# **Title:**Floor Technician# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.**Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned* Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self* Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments* Perform repetitive tasks* Maintain clean work area* Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules* Take direction and respond to supervision* Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner* Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance* Support shift lead in completing punch-list items* Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks* Present a professional appearance and conduct* Understand customer service and satisfaction.* Understand reporting systems, and of the environment* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area* Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring* Complete work assignments in a timely manner* Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure* Use and maintain equipment properly* Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely* Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor”* Ability to work without normal supervision* Report safety hazards as appropriate**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.**Education and/ or Experience:** No education requirement 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience.**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:** May be required to have a valid driver’s license Complete all safety and task training certification May be required to be forklift certified**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with teamKnowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipmentKnowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use**Supervisory Responsibilities**This position has no supervisory responsibilities.**Physical Demands & Work Environment*** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
