Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

All shifts available.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) works in conjunction with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and other facility departments to provide high-quality individualized nursing care for the residents of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) service. The nursing staff is required to wear Caribbean Blue scrubs as part of the position.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on the patient's immediate needs.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Perform treatments as ordered by physicians in an accurate and timely manner.
• Document patient assessment findings and respond to nursing interventions.
• Adhere to medication administration protocols and ensure medications are current and correctly supplied.
• Initiate emergency resuscitation measures as required and document all actions taken.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide care sensitively, respecting patient autonomy and diversity.
• Participate in staff education and orientation of new personnel as necessary.
• Assist in coordinating patient transfers for tests or procedures as directed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current CA LVN license.
• Current BLS level CPR certification.
• Strong physical stamina and mental health to accommodate the demands of patient care.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Reliable attendance and a history of dependability.
