Environmental Engineer

job summary:
Large manufacturer with locations nationwide is seeking an Environmental Engineer for their facility in the Jackson, MS area. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years experience with environmental compliance and permitting in a manufacturing/heavy industrial setting.

BS in Engineering or related technical degree desired.

responsibilities:

• Ensure the facility's compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including air quality, water quality, waste management, and hazardous materials management

• Prepare and submit required environmental permits, reports, and documentation

• Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify potential non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001 standards

• Provide environmental input and guidance on capital projects and process changes

requirements:

• BS Environmental Engineering or related degree

• 2+ years of related experience from an industrial setting

• Team player mindset, but an independent problem solver
