Medical Assistant - Full-time

Register patients and verify insurance and documentation Schedule appointments and process co-pays Prepare patients for examination and record medical history Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments Conduct point-of-care testing including flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, and HCG Assist providers with patient care and procedures Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals Perform opening and closing duties and maintain equipment quality checks Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment Perform all other duties as assigned Support the mission to become the urgent care partner of choice by redefining value and access to quality care through an effortless patient experience and a strong culture of care Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting Alternatively, one of the listed MA certifications at the time of hire or obtained within 12 months of hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, or NRCMA Alternatively, graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at the time of hire, verified through state license Alternatively, EMT or Paramedic certification verified through state certification and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians CPOE certification required within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained at hire Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) One of the listed MA certifications required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, or NRCMA Clinical backgrounds such as LPNs, EMTs, Paramedics, and PCTs with healthcare backgrounds are encouraged to apply Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in patient registration, insurance verification, and clinical support tasks, while maintaining a patient-centered environment. Holds relevant certifications and possesses experience in urgent care or similar healthcare settings.
