Registered DietitianLocation: Tacoma, WA areaSalary: 65k-85kPosition Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team in Tacoma, WA area. This role focuses on providing exceptional nutritional care for patients which serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As an integral part of our treatment team, you will be involved in various patient care activities and program planning to promote optimal health and well-being.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with the treatment team to develop and implement nutrition plans tailored to the needs of patientsFacilitate educational classes and group sessions related to nutrition, skill development, and health concepts on a weekly basis.Attend and actively participate in patient treatment meetings weekly to discuss and update care plans.Conduct regular patient interactions and rounding on wards multiple times throughout the week.Attend monthly patient community meetings to address nutritional needs and concerns.Participate in patient program activities at least once a month during scheduled work shifts.Perform meal observations twice a month to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines.Engage in planning and organizing food-related activities with other treatment team members.Meet with patients individually according to the established schedule and department safety plan.Help manage and oversee the Nutrition School Meal Program software platform in collaboration with CSTC and department food managers, clinical nutrition manager, and menu specialist.Who Should Apply:Professionals with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, and completion of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics education program.Registered Dietitians with at least 24 months of recent full-time experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).Qualifications:Valid Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.Compensation:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.Opportunities for professional development and continuing education.Supportive and collaborative work environment.
