Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room travel assignment in a hospital ER located in Springfield, Massachusetts. Start date: 09/07/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,549–$2,702 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12). This assignment supports a large, high-acuity ED setting with 118 beds and a diverse patient population, requiring acute critical care skills and the ability to manage unstable patients.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to ED patients, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and interventions
- Stabilize and manage patients with mixed acuity, rapidly escalating care as condition changes
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, perform routine procedures within scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, pharmacists, social work, and ancillary teams to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and uphold patient safety, privacy, and infection control standards
- Educate patients and families, prepare for discharge or transfer, and participate in post-ED planning as appropriate

Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience, post-orientation
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Licensure: Active RN license (Massachusetts) or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state
- Skills: Strong critical care competencies; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment; comfort caring for diverse patient populations, including behavioral health and boarding patients
- Logistics: Must be outside a 90-mile radius from the facility and able to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with 12-hour night shifts
