Facilities Maintenance Technician

Perform a broad range of building maintenance tasks for MERC properties in the areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, general maintenance, and locksmith duties. Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities. Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed. Investigate and prioritize facilities-related work orders and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints. Move, assemble, and arrange furniture and equipment per room set-up specifications. Communicate with various employees to keep them informed about repair work that impacts them. Follow safety rules and provide aid/support in emergency situations. Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities in related areas as assigned. Required Qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance. High school diploma or GED. Minimum 6 years of experience with general maintenance. Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
