Mesilla Valley Hospital is seeking an Adult Addictions/SUD Psychiatrist to join our inpatient behavioral health team, providing care for adults with psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Position Highlights

\n

\n
• Focus: Adult inpatient Psychiatry, Addiction & SUD treatment.
\n
• Schedule: Monday Friday schedule with daytime hours only.
\n
• Flexible daily workflow with the ability to leave after patient-care responsibilities are completed.
\n
• Caseload average: 13-15 patient encounters per day.
\n
• Call coverage: Once per week (phone only).
\n
• Weekends: Optional paid weekend coverage available.
\n
• Lead and collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team.
\n
• Teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and medical students through Texas Tech El Paso.
\n
• Employed or 1099 Independent Contractor options.
\n
• Leadership opportunity: Service line directorship available.
\n

Compensation & Benefits

• Negotiable base salary range from $350,000-$390,000.
\n
• Weekends and evening call shifts paid.
\n
• Additional earnings potential via Productivity Bonus.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• MD or DO degree from an accredited and recognized medical school.
\n
• BE or BC General Psychiatry (required).
\n
• BE or BC Addiction Psychiatry (preferred).
\n
• New Mexico license or ability to obtain licensure.
\n
