Job Description

As a Security Guard Experienced Unarmed Patrol in Far Rockaway NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government transit location where you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with our agile reliable and innovative team you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers visitors and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit-related property including bus terminals waiting areas platforms parking areas and perimeter locations with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor for unusual activity unattended items access issues and/or policy violations and help to deter disruptions through visible presence and timely reporting.
• Document daily activities incidents and/or observations in required reports and assist with directing foot traffic line flow and general public inquiries during routine operations and service interruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
