Shift: Day shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)

Weekend Hours: Monday-Friday flexibility, Every other weekend required

Call Requirements: Expected to take on-call

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40/week. (The Center/Facility has not approved more than 40 Guaranteed Hours in a week for this job assignment. No OT hours.)

Contract duration: 9 weeks of contract

Job Duties

• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring that patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently.
• Develop and implement nursing unit policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Manage the nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and scheduling shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate the healthcare services provided to patients.
• Monitor the nursing unit's budget, managing expenses and resources to ensure financial viability.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing staff and between the nursing unit and other departments within the healthcare facility.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the nursing unit, ensuring a positive working environment.
• Participate in committees or projects aimed at improving patient care, nursing practices, or operational efficiency within the healthcare facility.
