Data Architect

Data ArchitectThe Data Architect will have end-to-end vision to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive Stages involved. The incumbent will need to be able to address issues of Data Migration (Validation, Clean-up and Mapping), and will need to understand the importance of Data Dictionaries. This individual will also be responsible for providing technical leadership for projects and will be accountable for the end-to-end solution delivery. Additionally, this individual will be the focal and escalation point for all technical and technical delivery issues on the effort. A data architect will be involved in data governance practices, in data administration, in data integration, and in data modeling. Data architect will be the one establishing policies and goals for those areas. Data Architects will be the one building the conceptual architecture for Data Governance, administration, integration, and modeling. The data architect will be the primary accountable person for the design and delivery of the data solution for the business initiative.Technical Requirements:Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Data ArchitectExtensive knowledge of data warehouse and BI techniquesIn depth hands on working experience with Azure SQL, Synapse and ADF Data Pipelines to ingest data from Azure (such as SQL, Cosmos, ADLS Gen 2.0) and non-Azure sources to SynapseWorking knowledge of Azure Devops CI/CD pipelines to promote Synapse Databases and Data pipelines from non-production to production environments.In depth hands on working experience of Data modeling and Database DesignIn depth hands on working experience of SQL, NoSQL and Big Data knowledgeIn depth understanding of Azure Database Security Particularly Encryption, Obfuscation, Role based Access control, etc.Strong analytical and problem solving skillsTools knowledge for Data DisciplinesA background in computer science and database managementRelational DB: Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen 2.0NonRelational: CosmosData Integration: Azure Data Factory, Logic apps, Eventhub, EventGrid, Service BusData IntegrationArchitecture ResponsibilitiesParticipate in Data Governance meeting to provide guidance and advocate how we can help the business be more successful, including participation with Data Management organizations to Define ownership, usage, security and quality for all dataWorks directly with Data Analysts, Solution Architects and Vendors to understand and validate requirements and translate business requirements into technical requirements and designsDevelops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.Logical design of Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases including data flows, conception model and logical modelsServing as a consulting resource for Delivery and SupportCreating strategy and recommendations on a company's future data and tech policiesCollaborating with other team members to build the ideal database, data integration and business intelligence infrastructure and platformsEstablish Data Architecture Design Patterns and best practicesForward thinking on new technologies and patternsTechnology strategy and roadmapsCloudHeavily focused on Azure
