Location: Food Manufacturing Plant

Job Summary: The Process Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of equipment used in the processing and packaging of seasoning products. This role requires adherence to quality, sanitation, and safety standards while working collaboratively in a team environment to produce high-quality spices for food manufacturing facilities and spice companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor large mixers (blenders ranging from 800 to 16,000 lbs.) for dry blend production. Mixing, blending, and making batches.
• Collaborate with team members to safely open and dump ingredients into the blenders.
• Ensure accurate blending of ingredients according to specifications, with attention to detail to meet client requirements.
• Oversee the semi-automatic packaging process, including weighing and filling bags (e.g., 40 lb. bags) with blended product.
• Safely handle and lift finished product to be palletized and prepared for shipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the production area.
• Follow all safety protocols and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Work closely with forklift operators to coordinate the delivery of raw ingredients.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in food manufacturing or processing not required but preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
