Water instrumentation technician

The Water Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Industrial Wastewater Treatment (IWT) systems within the semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring the continuous, safe, and high-quality utility supply required for semiconductor production.

salary: $23 - $32 per hour
shift: Third
work hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Preventive and corrective maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on water treatment equipment

Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with instrumentation. This includes equipment such as flowmeters, level transmitters, pressure sensors, pH probes, etc.

Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure equipment repairs are complete per industry standards

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment readings

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to strict health and safety protocols and regulations

SOP Management: Follow and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks.

Team Collaboration: Work with engineers and other technicians to solve problems, implement improvements, and ensure plant reliability.

The essential functions of this role include:
  • working in a smoke free environment
  • manual lifting up to 50lbs
  • standing for 10 hours at one time
  • working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
