Position Overview:

Join our team as an RN Critical Care specializing in Adult PACU at a premier Acute Care/Academic Medical Center in Syracuse. This role demands expertise in post-anesthesia care for adult patients within a dynamic critical care environment.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position
Day/Evening Shift
6 shifts of 12 hours every 2 weeks
Day shifts: 07:00–19:30
Evening shifts: 11:00–23:30
Includes some weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized post-anesthesia care for adult critical care patients.
Monitor and manage patient recovery, complications, and pain control.

Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Licensure: Active New York State RN License
Certification: BLS certification (must be current or willing to recertify)
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care facility (within the past 2 years)
PACU experience is required
Previous critical care experience is essential

Technical Skills: EPIC EMR proficiency (strongly preferred)
Soft Skills: Adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork in fast-paced settings.
