Job Description We are seeking a Mule/Spring Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Spring Boot, Spring Integration, MuleSoft 4.x, and enterprise integration patterns and a proven ability to analyze MuleSoft integrations and migrate or reimplement them using Spring-based solutions while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable services. Responsibilities Analyze MuleSoft flows, connectors, RAML/API specs, and error-handling patterns and translate them into Spring-based equivalents. Perform vulnerability remediations across Mule components and Spring Boot APIs, including SQL injection, XPath injection, cross-site request forgery, server-side request forgery, and authentication hardening. Build RESTful APIs and reusable integration components for synchronous and asynchronous flows. Develop maintainable, testable code following modern engineering practices. Contribute to integration architecture decisions to improve reliability, performance, and scalability. Establish standards for logging, exception handling, API design, and message exchange patterns. Ensure alignment with enterprise governance, CI/CD pipelines, security, and cloud deployment guidelines. Partner with architects, MuleSoft developers, business SMEs, QA, and DevOps teams. Provide technical mentorship on Spring Integration concepts. Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions. Required Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and the core Spring ecosystem. 3+ years designing and implementing solutions using Spring Integration (DSL, channels, transformers, routers, gateways). Strong Java development background and knowledge of enterprise integration patterns. Hands‑on experience with MuleSoft 4.x, including analysis of Mule flows, DataWeave transformations, connectors, and API specifications. Proficiency with messaging platforms such as Kafka, ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ, and JMS‑compatible systems. Strong experience with API development, RESTful services, and microservice architecture. Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as Git and Jenkins. Hands‑on experience with unit and integration testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test, TestContainers, and WireMock. Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Preferred Skills Prior migration experience from MuleSoft to Spring Integration, Apache Camel, or similar Java‑based frameworks. Knowledge of Spring Cloud Gateway or other API gateway frameworks. Experience with performance tuning of integration services. Understanding of security frameworks including OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS. Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Self‑driven and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Why BCforward?
