Heavy Equipment Parts Specialist

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Heavy Equipment Parts Specialist is responsible for providing knowledgeable and responsive parts support to customers, technicians, and internal departments. This position helps identify and source the correct parts for heavy equipment repairs, prepares parts orders for delivery or pickup, maintains accurate parts transactions, and provides professional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced equipment or parts environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate parts for heavy equipment and related repairs. Provide accurate parts availability, pricing, specifications, and other product information to customers. Recommend related, companion, and replacement parts when appropriate to ensure customers have everything needed to complete a repair. Inform customers about current parts specials, promotions, and available product options. Work closely with service technicians to process parts requisitions and repair orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure parts requests and repair orders are complete and properly submitted to the Parts department. Ensure all internally requested parts are accurately billed to the appropriate repair order. Pull, stage, and fill parts orders from inventory while maintaining accuracy and organization. Prepare parts orders for daily shipment, delivery, customer pickup, or internal use. Inspect returned cores received from customers and properly identify, tag, and prepare them for return to the appropriate vendor. Process customer core credits upon receipt of the applicable credit from the vendor. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to parts orders, returns, cores, and customer transactions. Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, technicians, vendors, and coworkers. Represent Quality Truck Care Center in a professional manner in all customer and workplace interactions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts area. Perform other parts-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in heavy equipment, truck, automotive, agricultural equipment, or industrial parts is preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to identify parts using catalogs, electronic parts systems, diagrams, or other reference materials. Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to accurately handle part numbers, pricing, quantities, and inventory information. Comfortable working with customers and service technicians in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn parts and inventory management systems. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle parts and equipment as required. A valid driver's license may be required depending on job duties.
