• Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
• Start Date: Beginning ASAC
• Duration: A minimum of 3 months, but preferrably 6 months with the option to extend.
• Schedule: Must be able to work 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
  • Week One - Monday-Thursday from 7 am - 5 pm with no weeknight call, but there is weekend beeper call from Friday-Sunday
  • Week Two - Monday-Thursday from 7 am - 5 pm + Friday from 7 am - 3 pm. There is weeknight beeper call Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. No weekend call.
  • Call Requirements: Call coverage required
  • Setting: Inpatient, OR/Surgery Dept
  • Credentialing: 30-45 days if provider has clean file & active Iowa license
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Model: Independent Model - CRNA MUST be able to work autonomously. This will become a CRNA only practice January onward, and the current MDA's there also work autonomously.
  • Case Types: Bread & Butter general cases, Blocks, OB (including administering epidurals), picc lines, may see some healthy (ENT) peds cases. No hearts and no heads. Compensation & Benefits

    • Travel Information: Travel/lodging covered. Flight/lodging/rental car or mileage as necessary. Any baggage fees must be covered by provider, and provider must refuel rental car upon return. Medstream has an excellent travel division who will contact provider prior to their assignment starting and make all necessary travel arrangements (IAS team will not do this). Provider is allowed to book their own travel if they prefer, but there are parameters (coach airfare, no more than $120 per night including taxes/fees for lodging (receipt required for reimbursement), and an economy rental car)
