The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and hands-on partner to manufacturing leadership, supporting day-to-day HR operations and aligning people initiatives with business objectives. This role will work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to drive employee engagement, performance, and compliance.

Job Details

HR Business Partnership & Operations
  • Act as a trusted HR partner to plant leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Support daily HR operations within a manufacturing environment, including production and hourly workforce needs
  • Collaborate with leadership to address workforce challenges and implement practical HR solutions
Employee Relations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and company values
  • Partner with leadership to foster a positive, compliant, and engaged work environment
Performance Management & Development
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and corrective actions
  • Coach supervisors and managers on employee performance, documentation, and feedback
  • Assist with training initiatives to improve leadership capability and employee development
Talent Acquisition & Retention
  • Partner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried roles
  • Develop and implement retention strategies, particularly for production employees
  • Help drive onboarding and employee engagement initiatives
Compliance & HR Programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Support HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave management, and training
  • Maintain accurate HR records and assist with reporting and HR metrics
Manufacturing Environment Support
  • Maintain strong on-site presence and engagement with production teams
  • Support safety initiatives and reinforce compliance with workplace safety standards
  • Understand operational needs such as shift structures, staffing levels, and production demands

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration is required
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
  • Experience supporting hourly workforce populations and working with front-line supervisors
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, distribution, or industrial environments
  • Exposure to employee relations investigations and performance management
  • HRIS experience (e.g., UKG, Workday, ADP)
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
