Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, with night shifts and every other weekend coverage.

Details

• Inpatient Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• 36-hour weekly work commitment
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Travelers are expected to support nursing students and participate in clinical education alongside their regular patient care duties
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
