Cybersecurity Architect - Mergers & Acquisitions

AbbVie seeks a Security Architect to support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. The role bridges security and business teams, developing advisory services and secure design patterns for complex transactions while coordinating across infrastructure, technology, and security groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate security and technology services with infrastructure, security, and acquisition target teams during transactions
• Develop, document, and deploy secure design patterns for strategic partner collaborations
• Create and deploy security playbooks and services focused on business alliances and acquisitions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 2+ years
• Practical security architecture experience in cloud security, application security, network security, identity, or operational technology
• Direct experience designing solutions for M&A, divestitures, and multi-company collaborations
• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, M365, and Slack platforms
• Active Directory and security constructs knowledge (domains, forests, trusts)
• Understanding of NIST 800, ISO 27001, and related industry security standards
• 5+ years information security experience as Security Architect or Engineer (preferred); GCFE, GCFA, GDSA certifications strongly preferred
