School Speech Language Pathologist - Hamden, Connecticut

This opportunity runs from now through the end of the school year and is conveniently situated near Hamden, CT. As an SLP, you'll work closely with a high school caseload, providing essential support that fosters academic and personal growth for approximately 45 students.


Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid SLP license in Connecticut
• Prior experience working in a school-based setting, particularly with high school students, is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to high school students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop strategies to address students' speech, language, and communication needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services
• Collaborate with educators and families to design and implement effective interventions
• Contribute to IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary team discussions
• Offer guidance to teachers regarding communication strategies for classroom support
