Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency

Job Details:

• Join a collaborative, patient-centered team as a Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery provider
• Open to Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA)
• 100% inpatient setting focused on Pediatric Hospitalist and Newborn Nursery care
• Round on newborns and attend both scheduled and emergent c-sections
• Manage phototherapy for newborns requiring treatment
• Occasionally perform pediatric consults to the ED or inpatient floors
• Stabilize newborns for transport as needed
• 24/7 neonatologist support available
• 24-hour shifts with full-time or part-time scheduling options available
• No call required
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in collaboration with physician(s) and care team members, including referrals to specialists
• Requires an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in an inpatient pediatrics, hospitalist, or newborn nursery setting required
• Training as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant required
