Senior Structural Engineer, PE --- HYBRID --- DIRECT HIRE/PERMANENT!

Manpower Engineering is exclusively partnering with a very reputable, well-established and growing company in Waukesha, WI on a hybrid, highly visible, and direct hire/permanent Senior Structural Engineer, PE position that’s available due to continued growth and offers strong professional development and growth opportunities. The company is looking for experience with structural steel design – experience with low-rise commercial buildings is a plus and the company is open to someone that’s open to learning a new industry. Established in 1986, the company has enjoyed 40 years of continued success, is financially sound and positioned for continued growth, and has excellent tenure/retention. They’re a specialized structural engineering firm with a focus on low-rise, commercial buildings and provide services nationwide. They’re renowned for delivering technically sound, cost-effective, and practical design solutions. This person will have the opportunity to partner with a great leader and be part of a top performing team, a lot of autonomy, make an immediate, visible, and positive impact and their thoughts are heard and valued, and this is a critical role for the company to help them continue to grow.
- Compensation Plan: Depending on qualifications/experience, this opportunity can offer a base salary up to $150,000 and also paid overtime at 1.5x.

- Develop structural designs and calculations for low-rise commercial and industrial buildings.
- Coordinate with drafting staff who will create the detailed drawings and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support investigative engineering efforts.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and compliance with codes.
- Review construction documents, review of shop drawings and product submittals.
- Provide technical support during construction phases and address any structural issues that arise.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with structural steel design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software. Experience with Risa 3D, Enercalc and/or Woodworks is a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with low-rise commercial buildings.
- Experience with building codes and industry standards.
- Experience with investigative engineering and forensic analysis.
