divh2Assistant Store Manager/h2pThis Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our retail operations, including managing operations, sales, inventory, customer service, staff, service, and repair work. Primary responsibility will be assisting the Store Manager (SM) in daily operations, sales, generating revenue for the location, and running the store in the Store Managers absence./ph3Essential Duties And Responsibilities/h3pThe essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:/pulliSupporting Store Manager in achieving store revenue goals and assisting in managing sales and service staff./liliImplement and enforce all aspects of Employee Handbook./liliMeet all deadlines for daily, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, and annually reports./liliManage and perform all daily processes that include trailer inspections, trailer sales, parts sales, service work, inventory control, parts purchases, vendor relations, special orders, and pricing./liliVerify and perform proper invoicing of all trailers, parts, and labor./liliEnsure that all required paperwork associated with each sale is submitted to the appropriate state agencies and Interstate Group departments, accurately and in a timely manner./liliEnsure a respectful, safe and productive workplace through your effective hiring, onboarding, training, counseling, accountability and other performance management support for all service and parts staff you supervise. Address poor performance or behavior diligently and fairly./liliEnsure that all policies and procedures related to managing the facilitys keys are fully executed and enforced./liliWork strategically and collaboratively with other departments of the company./liliASM will back up the SM and their responsibilities in the SM absence. (see SM job description)/liliMaintain time cards, ensure they are up-to-date with start and end times as well as appropriate breaks are scheduled./liliEnsure the store facility and grounds are maintained by cleaning and organizing the building, shop, and trailers, in order to promote safety, security, and a professional appearance./liliAttend and participate in all required team and company meetings./liliObtain state and city vehicle sales licenses, where required by law./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./liliResponsible for generating leads in the local market./liliAbility to operate forklift and tractor. (Company certification required)/liliAbility to operate power tools and welding equipment. In the absence of the Store Manager, the ASM will be responsible to plan and promote the daily schedule, coordinate and manage the performance of employees including development and accountability./ph3Qualifications/h3pTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the essential duties and responsibilities section are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required./ph3Education and/or Experience/h3pThe position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as six months to one year of related experience and/or training./ph3Language Skills/h3pMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Also important is the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with customers or employees. Spoken fluency in Spanish is a plus./ph3Mathematical Skills/h3pRequires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ASM must also be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry as needed./ph3Computer Skills/h3pKnowledge of on-line computer systems is required for successful completion of the ASM job responsibilities and assignments. Basic keyboarding skills are also needed for efficiency./ph3Reasoning Ability/h3pMust be able to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form./ph3Physical Demands/h3pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
