Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
• Collaborates with obstetric and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, timely interventions, and patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Documents care accurately and ensures continuity of care across shifts and team members.
• Adheres to hospital policies, professional standards, and evidence-based practice in the delivery of nursing care.

• Ability to work in a labor and delivery unit within a hospital setting.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts as part of a travel temporary assignment.
