PRN Respiratory Therapist II - Non-NICU Nights @ Cobb Hospital

Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings. Key Duties: Perform patient assessments, verify orders, and administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, and gas therapies. Manage ventilators, including weaning, waveform interpretation, and airway management (intubation, extubation, trach care). Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. Educate patients and support system, mentor new staff and students, and participate in staff development activities. Collaborate with healthcare team to plan and provide high-quality, safe patient care. Promote performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and a safe environment. Ensure accurate documentation, electronic order management, and compliance with policies. Qualifications & Skills: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy. Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS. 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
