Job Title: Staff RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Adult Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7pm - 7:30am Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid license to practice in the Client Certifications: CPR required Must-Have: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Critical thinking skills; Ability to handle multiple priorities Description: The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Completion of an accredited nursing program is required, resulting in a diploma or degree in nursing. Previous Registered Nursing experience is preferred. Demonstrates a willingness to understand others' perspectives, treating others with compassion and engaging in patient and family-centered care. Takes responsibility for own actions and delivers on promises and commitments with honesty and ethical behavior. Implements physician orders as written and assures necessary equipment and supplies are available for patient care. Position requires heavy physical demands, including moving objects and frequent patient handling activities. Must manage emotions and maintain self-control in the workplace, particularly in urgent situations. Requires intact cognitive function with strong organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
