Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher working with grades 6-8 on a full-time, contract basis. This opportunity supports an inspiring group of approximately 80 students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing essential instruction and case management throughout the school year. The position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 2027, delivering consistency and continuity for your students and professional growth for you.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Special Education (TN SPED) certification required
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong background in IEP development, documentation, and management
• Familiarity with diverse learning disabilities and behavior intervention plans
• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with families, general education staff, and allied professionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction tailored to students in grades 6-8 with IEPs in both individual and group settings
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance and fostering measurable progress
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and families to provide holistic support
• Adapt curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners
