Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$2203.20/week - Job Summary: Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in high-risk obstetrics to provide comprehensive care in a Labor and Delivery unit. The role involves supporting patient-centered care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective childbirth experiences. Responsibilities: Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery processes. Administer medication infusions such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate per protocols. Initiate and manage IVs and collaborate with anesthesia and lab teams for procedures like phlebotomy and 12-lead EKGs. Transport patients safely within the unit and support remote telehealth services as needed. Maintain adherence to unit-specific procedures and protocols with a focus on high-risk obstetric care. Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment that emphasizes patient safety and quality. Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license with recent experience in labor and delivery, particularly high-risk obstetrics. Proven expertise in administering IV medications, monitoring fetal and maternal vital signs, and performing phlebotomy. Ability to work independently, demonstrating a strong work ethic, dependability, and initiative. Knowledge of hospital protocols related to obstetric emergencies and maternal-fetal monitoring. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members. BLS and NRP certifications required; additional certifications related to obstetrics preferred.
