Chief Executive Officer

The client seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to steer the organization through its next phase of growth and impact. This nonprofit organization, dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse, has significantly expanded its facilities and service capabilities, setting the stage for strengthening its fundraising efforts, enhancing community partnerships, and building financial resilience. The new CEO will play a crucial role in advancing the organization's mission in a complex and evolving funding landscape, and this leadership role reports directly to the Board of Directors. The CEO's key responsibilities include providing strategic direction, fostering a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture, and maintaining empathetic leadership to honor both the communities served and the dedicated staff. Partnering closely with the Chief Operating Officer, the CEO will ensure alignment with the Board's vision, set operational priorities, and oversee real estate and capital projects. Additionally, the CEO will drive the creation of a strategic plan, establish goals with senior leadership, and contribute to an analysis of existing organizational structures to support continuous growth and improvement. Financial sustainability and fundraising are central to the CEO's role, requiring the development and execution of a robust fundraising strategy with the Chief Development Officer. The CEO will serve as the primary external fundraiser, focusing on cultivating relationships with major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and public funders to enhance the organization's philanthropic revenue base. This role includes active donor cultivation, revenue development, and ensuring financial stability, all of which are crucial to advancing the nonprofit's impact and maintaining its pivotal role in the community.
