Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Newburyport, MA. The right PT should have at least 1 year of experience, though exceptional candidates with 6 months of experience may be considered. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of care plans for a variety of patient populations in acute care settings. Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians). Bill within the respective setting according to facility guidelines. Understand and comply with the respective PT board’s rules and state regulations. Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure team‑focused care plans. Understand adaptive equipment and incorporate it into treatment. Evaluate and create, modify, and adjust plans of care as indicated based on patients’ conditions. Use the medical center computer systems in performance of daily tasks. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state or insurance guidelines. Requirements Minimum of 6 months of experience (new graduates encouraged). BLS certification and state‑specific licensing required. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Willingness and ability to work with telehealth modalities and electronic health record systems.
